Kathleen E. Rock has been associated with Grotta & Associates since her admittance to the Illinois Bar in 2008. She received her Juris Doctorate in 2008 from Chicago-Kent School of Law, where she developed an interest in family law during her participation in the Family Law Clinic. While attending Chicago-Kent School of Law, she gained additional experience in family law through an externship with one of the Judges sitting in the Domestic Relations Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County. Ms. Rock graduated from Marquette University in 2005 with an Honors B.A., with a major in Criminology & Law Studies, as well as minors in Mathematics and Political Science. She also gained membership in the Phi Beta Kappa, Alpha Sigma Nu and Pi Mu Epsilon honor societies.

During her time with Grotta & Associates, Ms. Rock has been a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, Will County Bar Association and Chicago Bar Association. Ms. Rock is co-founder and co-chair of the Will County Bar Association Young Lawyers Section. In May 2013, Ms. Rock and fellow attorney, Kelly Marks, gave a continuing legal education presentation on Civil Unions in Illinois at the Will County Bar Association's Family Law Committee annual seminar. Ms. Rock also co-authored the chapter pertaining to attorney's fees in the family law context, in the Illinois Bar Association Family Law Handbook (2011 ed.).
